Edinburgh Gin

Experimental Series

The Edinburgh Gin Experimental Series was created to push the boundaries of traditional gin making. Each limited-edition release explored new botanicals, flavours and distillation techniques, giving the distillery the freedom to experiment while offering enthusiasts something genuinely unique. The challenge was to create a packaging system that could evolve with every new expression without losing its identity. Each bottle needed to feel individual while remaining unmistakably part of the same collection. Rather than designing a different label for every release, I created a simple, flexible visual language built around bold colour and oversized numbering. Each bottle is assigned its own distinctive number and colour, creating a clear hierarchy across the range while encouraging a sense of collectability. The minimalist design allows the liquid itself to become the hero, reinforcing the handcrafted nature of the series. The result is a contemporary packaging system that balances consistency with individuality. Every new release strengthens the identity of the collection while celebrating the spirit of experimentation that inspired it. Originally launched through the Edinburgh Gin Distillery and Edinburgh Gin Boutique, the Experimental Series became a distinctive platform for showcasing the brand's creativity and innovation.
